Veterinarians
Dr. Brianna Letaw
Medical Director
Dr. Bri, as she is affectionately called by her patients, came to us with over 10 years of experience. She has practiced small animal medicine up and down the East Coast since graduating from North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. You may recognize her from her time at the Animal Hospital of Hinesburg before she moved into emergency medicine. She is glad to be back in general practice and to be leading the caring and compassionate team at Bristol Animal Hospital. Dr. Bri is passionate about working with the entire care team—doctors, technicians, pet parents, and their families—to develop care plans that promote the best outcomes and ongoing health for each individual patient. She has a special interest in emergency surgery, urgent care, internal medicine, and geriatric care. Outside of work, she loves to hang out with her two young boys, her husband, and their black lab, Ryker. As a family, they love to spend time outdoors—hiking, swimming, skiing/snowboarding, and camping!
Dr. Sasha Toker
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Sasha is originally from southern New Hampshire. Growing up, she was an avid horseback rider and competed in dressage, jumper, and hunting for many years. She graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science: Medical and Veterinary Science and a minor in Microbiology and went on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2022. She is Fear Free certified and strives to make every veterinary visit positive and stress-free for both the patients and pet parents. Dr. Sasha shares her home with 3 dogs—a whippet named Hurley, Australian shepherd Chase, and Beau, the lab/pitty mix—as well as her 2 cats, Persia and Finley. Outside of veterinary medicine, she is passionate about competitive dog sports, including agility, lure coursing, nose work, and obedience.
Care Team
Karen Hart
Practice Manager
Karen is originally from Philadelphia, then Boston, and has been living in Vermont since 2016. She has a degree in Mechanical Engineering and Theater Arts from MIT which she no longer uses since finding her passion for veterinary medicine. She joined the field in 2017, managing a hybrid general practice and emergency hospital prior to coming to Bristol Animal Hospital. She became a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager in 2021 and a Certified Compassion Fatigue Professional in 2023, and she loves what she does because it allows her to help not only pets but also the people who care for them. She shares her life with her husband Matt, dogs Jolene and Rudy, and cats Mousecop, Nineteen, and Dale. Outside of work, she enjoys roller skating, designing cat furniture, and making a fool of herself at karaoke night.
Stephanie
Stephanie was born in Maine and grew up in Vermont. She graduated from Vermont Technical College with her veterinary technician degree in 2012. She worked at the Animal Hospital of Hinesburg for 8 years before coming to Bristol Animal Hospital as Lead Technician. She is the queen of dentistry and is passionate about helping her patients and coworkers. Since becoming part of our team, Steph got married and welcomed her new baby boy! When she’s not working, she enjoys watching Tim Burton movies, bass fishing in Lake Champlain with her dad, and hiking as much as possible with her dogs, a Great Dane named Fish and a Frenchie named Freda.
Sierra
Samantha
Sam grew up in central Vermont. She moved to Weybridge and started working at Bristol Animal Hospital in the summer of 2022. You’ll find her ready to help you with anything you need at the front desk, often with her border collie mix Fae beside her. Unlike many of her coworkers, Sam does not like hiking (perhaps related to her love of murder podcasts), but she does enjoy spending time at the lake with her family and pets. Sam has a special appreciation for her spicy cat Walter, who bites her regularly.
Lauren
Lauren joined the Bristol Animal Hospital team in 2022 with a background in farm and food production and animal husbandry. She lives in Ripton with her husband, cats, and dog Kiwi—whose siblings Smoke and Lola are famous in Bristol! Lauren is a famed cat whisperer and she has a special interest in caring for senior pets. Outside of work (if there isn’t a Phish concert nearby), Lauren can be found backcountry skiing, hiking, and cheering for her favorite sports teams.
Morgan
Hannah
Hannah has a background in dog and cat shelter medicine and returned to the veterinary field at Bristol Animal Hospital after a stint in human medicine. She lives in Brandon with her husband, 3 dogs, 5 cats, and 4 human children. She has a special place in her heart for “difficult” cats. She has no free time, but when she can, she enjoys going to car shows with her family, listening to murder podcasts, and hiking (despite said murder podcasts).
Bethany
Heather
Heather is a Vermont native who has been a receptionist since 2014. She graduated from Vermont Technical College with a degree in dairy farm management and soon after joined the Animal Hospital of Hinesburg. She quickly learned how much she enjoyed not only caring for the animals but for the clients as well, providing compassion, knowledge, and understanding. In January 2024, she joined our team to provide the same amount of customer care and to also be closer to her family. In her free time, you’ll find her spending time with her husband, two kids, and their flock of chickens! She enjoys hiking, kayaking, baking, and family BBQs!
